Best European Startups Can Win €50.000 at the EIT Digital Challenge 2016

EIT Digital Challenge 2016 is open for European startups that are all set to scale up their business in 2016. The third edition of this event is connecting pan-European innovators in 4 different cities: London, Paris, Stockholm, Helsinki and Eindhoven. Participants will compete in 5 categories: digital industry, digital cities, digital wellbeing, digital infrastructure, and digital finance. The winner of each category will be honored with the main cash award of €50,000.

The EIT Digital Challenge 2016 is organized by the EIT Digital Accelerator. This accelerator is active in 14 cities around Europe and also operates in a hub located in the Silicon Valley. EIT Digital Accelerator has given support to 233 startups to date and invested over €67 million in 80 companies. Education is also part of the EIT Digital strategy. The EIT Master School, Doctoral School, and Professional School are all dedicated to breeding digital talents focused on innovation and entrepreneurship.

EIT Digital aims to facilitate the access to new markets and customers on an international level. According to Dominik Krabbe, EIT Digital Challenge Lead, “Eighty per cent of European startups plan to internationalize their business, but only about half of them actually take this step”.
