Hungarian security startup BitNinja raises $2.5M to expand in the US
Hungarian startup BitNinja has raised $2.5 million to develop its server protection software and launch a new product for websites. Budapest-based Lead Ventures led the round (true to its name) with a $1.5 million investment; the rest came from American-Hungarian iEurope, Oxo Technologies Holding, and existing investors Octogon Ventures and the founders of Balabit.

Slovakian start-up Vectary raises €5.9M to make 3D modeling more accessible
Slovakia and US-based 3D and augmented reality platform Vectary has announced a 5.9 million euros funding round led by EQT Ventures fund with existing investor BlueYard also participating in the round. With the new funds, the start-up plans to continue its mission of making the high-quality 3D design more accessible in order to turn the web into a 3D and augmented reality (AR) immersive experience.

CEE Startups Have Received €96M in VC Funding Since July
This week, the online matching platform for connecting CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) startups with investors, Vestbee, released its regular report on venture capital (VC) funding for the third quarter of 2020. For the last three months, 61 investment rounds were closed in Central and Eastern Europe with over €96M secured (the number will change as there are 14 undisclosed funding rounds).

Turkish fund invests $49M in European B2B tech solutions
Investment company 212, based in Istanbul, is preparing for new investments in Turkey, Central and Eastern Europe and the MENA region, with its second fund, amounting to 49 million euros.

Meetfox: Romanian BeeTech startup Apiary Book, €200K investment for expansion
Apiary Book, the most used beekeeping management application globally, wants to get 150,000 euros through equity crowdfunding on SeedBlink, the largest platform in Southeast Europe for technology startups. The total round of financing is 200,000 euros and is led by the GapMinder investment fund. The listing will take place tomorrow, October 20, at 10.00.
